These lads in belgium are miles ahead of us lads. Its a pity these mutation goldfinches are so timid otherwise my shed would be full of them. i have had satinettes, split eumo/white top and straight eumos in the past but they need to be minded like children. That seems like too much hastle for some lads and i can't blame them.[You must be registered and logged in to see this image.][You must be registered and logged in to see this image.][You must be registered and logged in to see this image.][You must be registered and logged in to see this image.][You must be registered and logged in to see this image.][You must be registered and logged in to see this link.][You must be registered and logged in to see this image.][You must be registered and logged in to see this image.][You must be registered and logged in to see this image.][You must be registered and logged in to see this image.][You must be registered and logged in to see this image.][You must be registered and logged in to see this image.]

There are some cracking birds there Ivan.
Didn't realise that there are so many different Goldfinch Mutations
    I'm well impressed.

Ya there are roughly 15 different types on the book and that's not including the splits between breeding them against one another. Ya they are something else mate especially the pied goldfinches.I still prefer our own natives shape though against them but they have the colours but there song is not as sweet as our finches.

Is the last photo you posted a pic of Walter Jones clear mule that won the English National twice in a row and was placed 2nd the third year it was exhibited at that show? The bird was bred in Ireland by a respected Colour canary Judge...

I think it is, they were the days. We were all over there when it won including Paddy.

there was a pic of a black mule posted before on another site/forum but it turned out to be an actual breed of finch. i forget now from where. the owner was to bring the bird to an all native show in Dublin that year but i dont think he did. when was this pic taken?

I have seen black goldfinches before this was bigger in size and the shape of a mule. It was taken two years ago at the arklow show.

No but a clear yellow mule won the mule category and it was supposed to be it's nest mate so they were saying around the show mate.

You could be right but it was entered as a mule on the day i think it came second to the clear yellow mule that day.

Fair play to who ever bred it that was a cracking mule i haven't seen a clear goldfinch mule from a Norwich since. I have seen good variegated birds and they were nice too but that was hard too achieve.
