E.C.C.C Member Bird Requests Oct 2012

    Post  John_Graydon on Mon Jan 30, 2012 1:33 am

Please feel free to request birds that you might be interested in for this Oct 2012.
I can then put you in contact with our members who are breeding them, or they can reply here. This way we can see who is looking for what. Also im sure this will help to build up the sections on the show bench. Please try and limit yourself to a pair or two and let everyong get a bite of the cherry. So im limiting my sale to a pair of each variety only. I will start off this post by posting what I will have for sale after the breeding season hopefully.
Off Topic posts will be Deleted.

I would love to pick up either Mosaic Red Red Agate or/and Mosaic Red isabel Satinettes.
Could I just say this a fantastic idea and fair play, but limiting one pair per person also limits what the buyer / novice can do with this pair. Can I suggest if no one else is looking for the same variety then the buyer should be offered any surplus pairs or single birds or whatever is left over after everyone has been looked after. I hope this does not sound greedy, but I am thinking if I am lucky and get one pair what do I do with the young and where do I go with the varity? Hope you can see it from a novice point of view. Just to finish I very much appreciate the offer from the more experienced breeders and the time and efford they put into producing these birds.Thank You.
    Regards,
    Ray Fenlon.

Not trying to put a damper ray but I think if you are trying to breed a particular type of colour or colours you should try and get the same from another brrader as not to inbreed or if the breeder you get them off can supply you with trios unrelated just a thought

Yes I know what your are saying. I taught I could only request to buy one pair per variety and two pairs in total from any member selling on the forum. Thanks for the comments Hillie.

Both Ray and Hillie have very good points. But as i say to everyone if your starting out with a type or colour you should get in at lest two pair if not more of the type from one or two breeders just incase you would lose a hen or cock Idea Idea but this is just my opinion Embarassed Embarassed

Thanks for the comments David. This is my point you need at least 2 pairs minimum and as Hillie says two unrelated pairs.
I am going to be positive about this, things will work out later in the year. Again thanks for the comments.
