Newbie from Leicester

Post  ianpallen on Mon Feb 18 2013, 15:10

Hello to everyone. I am new to the site but not new to keeping birds. I have a pair of Stafford Canaries with a chick in the nest. This is the first time I have bred canaries. I have bred zebra finches in the bast. I live in Leicester (uk) but have not found any local breeders / keepers at all.

Thanks Jamie, Mountsorrel is not too far from me. I will search for them and join. I have only seen pics of the red blacks. Would love a pair, but funds at the mo are against it, until the end of the month. Can you please pm me a price regarding a pair for when you have any available. Thanks. Ian

Just watched a couple of vids. The colours stand out very well with the bluew back ground of the cages. Very nice birds. I might get a pair later on in the year. But for now, I have my pair of Staffords with one chick and Hopefully be getting a pair from Jamie Lee. My wife dont want me to have loads of cages around the house, like I did a few years ago when I bred zebras (4 large cages and an indoor double size aviary. lol).
