We got 140 on the night, so wasnt that bad for our 1st show. I would say we will double that amount next year as we have a whole new generation of members coming in. The novice section will be very very compeditive next year I would say. Show cages seem to be the problem at the moment.

There is a lot of work involved in making these cages, there does not seem to much of a margin for the work & time put in and you cant ask someone to make them for a very small return. I think we should keep on top of the ads for 2nd hand ones. As I said earlier I will try and have a go at making some but will order the fronts.

It is very hard to beat the quality and prices that Tony H (member of this forum) and David Haith supply their cages for Niall

Kent Cages £23.....Mike Vokes C.C.B.A. ....a £ or so less ??.......Brian Tanner (Bristol).....£23 'painted', £17 un-painted, not many more about, I think most of the others 'retail' what these chaps have made ?

You could consider trying to invite a Judge over & get him to bring a car load, or something along those lines to save on the P & P.

Tanners is close enough / en route for arranging a 'pick-up' for anyone coming over to "The Festival" in March (if anyone was)......or "We in the West" could arrange to have them 'on hand' close to Cheltenham for a 'pick up'.

"Old Pattern" Colour Canary / Lizard ones are fine for Training & there are plenty of them about.....for very little money; especially if you point out to the seller they are obsolete....

Now thats the ball rolling we just need to start getting numbers of cages that people need in the club and take it from there.i also have a contact in roslare that can pick them up from the ferry if thats another option.

Niall the ball is rolling John will make them and if he cant make enough, contact Tony H on forum as he is very reasonable and does make excellent show cages.
